Disable instead?
You may wish to consider disabling your profile rather than deleting it. Disabling hides your profile from all members, but you can still log in and re-enable it at any time (for up to a year). You won't lose your old messages, settings or saved profiles, and you can still see the private pics of anyone who unlocked for you.
Log in and go to your account settings (in the main menu). The enable/disable option is at the top of the middle column on a computer; on a mobile device, scroll down.
Deleting your profile
If you definitely want to delete now, the delete link is on the same page, in the bottom right corner on a computer, or at the very bottom of the page on a mobile device. You'll be asked to type DELETE, so it can't happen by accident.
Deleting is permanent: a deleted profile can't be recovered. For legal reasons, the email address and profile name stay locked for 30 days, so if you come back within that time you'll need a different email address and profile name.
Profiles you don't use
Please log in at least every four months to keep your profile visible to other members, and at least once a year to stop it being deleted. We send email reminders before that happens.
