Login problems and resetting your password

If the log in page says your details are wrong, here's how to reset your password and make sure our email reaches you.

If you can't log in and see this error message on the log in page:

The log in page error about wrong credentials

There is a problem with either your email address, your password, or both. This is what we mean by 'credentials'.

First, make sure you don't have your Caps lock on.

If you have not yet logged into the new site, or if you have forgotten your log in password, you will need to reset it to regain access.

Go to the log in page, chat.dudesnude.com/home, and click the reset password link below your log in details.

The reset password link below the log in details

That opens a new field:

The field for your log in email address, with the Send reset email button

Where it says 'give a valid email address', type the email address that you log into the site with (NOT your profile name), and then click the 'send reset email' button.

If you have entered the correct email address, a green banner will appear at the top of the page

The green banner confirming the reset email was sent

If you have not entered an email address we recognise, you will see this:

The message shown when the email address is not recognised

Please check carefully that you have entered the address correctly (no typos).

Please be aware that if you have not logged in for over a year, we would have tried to invite you to return, but if you did not, your profile would have been deleted, in accordance with best practice on the retention of information that someone is no longer using. If you are sure you have entered the address correctly, please email support@dudesnude.com, from that email address, telling me the profile name, that you cannot log in, and what you have tried so far.

If you saw the green banner, we have sent you an email to the address you have given. If you don't see the email in your inbox, don't forget to check your junk/spam folder. The reset email only lasts an hour, so needs to be dealt with immediately (though you can always go back to the log in page and send it again). We are aware that some members (particularly, though not exclusively those using Yahoo/ymail/AIM/AOL addresses) are not receiving the email we send. When we have checked, it has invariably been due to those members having previously marked one of our emails as spam, or phishing, which it is easy to do by mistake. Their email service has blocked our emails and only the providers themselves can unblock our emails. We are unable to fix this for you. You would need to enquire how to go about that, for your particular provider, but you could try adding info@sso.dudesnude.com to your address book or safe list, if there is one, or searching your mailbox and marking an email from that address as safe. You can always email support@dudesnude.com, but if you do not receive a reply to that either, you would need to contact us from an alternate address.

When you find the email, it will look something like this:

The password reset email

Click the 'reset password' link and you will be taken to a 'renew password' page on the site.

The Renew password page

Do not edit the email address: that will cause an error.

Enter a new password. Please make sure this is something secure, that you do not use on other sites. Your browser will be able to suggest a secure password for you, and save it after entering. Once a secure password has been entered (and confirmed, as indicated, to avoid typos), click the submit button. If the passwords match, a green banner will appear at the top of the page ''your password has been reset", and you will be taken to the log in page.

You can now either type in the details you just entered, or, if you allowed your browser to save your log in info, your browser can do that for you.
