dudesnude includes an age and community based matching system to give you some control over the types of guys you will see and be seen by whilst browsing the site. settings for these are found in your site settings.
on the 'quick search' and 'power search' pages, you can restrict your search results to either all or any of the ticked communities, e.g. select 'all' and tick 'Big Muscle dude' and 'Bear' if you want to see 'muscle bears' (who will be members of both communities). if you want to see either 'Big Muscle dude' or 'Bear' then select 'any' in the drop-down listbox instead, and you will see guys who are members of either one community or the other, but not necessarily both.
if any community boxes appear greyed out on the search pages, it means you have blocked these communities in your site settings or ('POZ dude' community only) that you are not a member of the community but need to be to search for community members.
in addition age/community filtering in your site settings affects the types of guys you will see and be seen by in search results and the 'online now' page - it has no effect in the forums or webcam chat room though, and will not prevent you sending messages to someone you are already talking to.
set the minimum and maximum age of guys you want to interact with in your site settings, you will then neither see nor be seen by guys outside this age range.
the community filter allows you to exclude entire communities (e.g. to exclude everyone who is a member of a certain community, set the option for that community to 'no - hide these guys' in your site settings).
it also allows you to do the opposite, which is require membership of at least one of a selection of communities (e.g. if you like guys of a certain community, set the option for that community to 'yes - i like these guys' in your site settings to have them included in your search results).
any communities that you set to 'only if an 'i like' too' will be ignored by the community matching system (e.g. members of these communities will neither specifically included nor excluded in your search results).
Note: community 'POZ dude' is a community to help HIV+ members connect with each other. because membership is optional, please be aware that excluding it in your filter settings will not provide a HIV- view of the membership database because there will always be HIV+ members who choose not to join.
